AP Exams & Resources

Advanced Placement examinations are exams offered by the College Board and are taken each May by students. The tests are the culmination of year-long Advanced Placement (AP) courses, which are typically offered at the high school level. AP exams have a multiple-choice section and a free-response section. At many college and universities, a high enough score will earn the student college credit. These exams are only offered to AP students. Ask your counselor how you can become an AP student.

The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) is a standardized test administered by the College Board and cosponsored by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC). A strong PSAT score is likely to portend an equally strong (or stronger) SAT score. High SAT scores can, in turn, help you get scholarships and grants for college. Studying for these standardized tests is one of the few ways that students can positively affect their financial aid packages. Scores from the PSAT/NMSQT are used to determine eligibility and qualification for the National Merit Scholarship Program.

PSAT News Update: Students have access to their PSAT exams now! You can also ask your counselor how.
Here are 2 ways how you can access them:
1. Ask your school counselor for a PDF copy of your score report. (Send Ms. Aguilar, college counselor, a Schoology message requesting your report)
2. Access the BigFuture® School mobile app if you provided your mobile number on test day.
